Thereis always a risk involved with everything. Even with medicines and medical procedures, there is always a certain percentage that something wrong will happen or have a side effect tolerable or not. That is why people take calculated risks. In the same manner, getting a tattoo entails some risk. In the case of tattoo being used as permanent make-up, the procedure is called micro-pigmentation. The manufacture of inks or pigments used in tattooing isunder the watchful eye of the Food and Drug Administration. Since the practice of tattooing is not really as established as compared to make up products, there might still be loopholes and or lapses which the manufacturers of these pigments will exploit which will escape the watchful eye of the regulatoryagency like the food and drug administration.

Thefirst major risk in getting a tattoo is with regards to safety. There is reallyno guarantee yet that the pigments or inks used by certain tattoo artistspassed the strictest quality control so that it will not cause any allergies orunwanted side effects to human beings. Even though, there have been significantimprovements in how tattoo is done over the years there is still that risk ofgetting contaminated due to unsafe and unclean practices of a certain tattooartists. That is the very reason why you should carefully choose the tattooartist; get to know the safety policy and procedures of his or her tattooclinic. You should always insist on seeing that the needles which will be usedcome straight out of a sealed package. Needles should only be used once anddisposed of properly after single use. It is worth mentioning though thatmajority of tattoo artists do really put a premium on customer safety. Still,it is always wise to make sure.

Thesecond major risk is that your tattoo might become obsolete to you. There aremany reasons why a tattoo will lose its importance. Tattoos proclaiming loveand devotions often used the name or even the portrait of the person which isthe object of affection. When the relationship sours and ends, you are leftwith the tattoo which is a constant reminder of the failed relationship so thetattoo loses its importance to you. This is not to dissuade you from getting aname tattoo of your significant someone; it is just that the risk is certainlyhigher.

Anotherinherent risk is that a tattoo will fade over the years. What you can probablydo to lessen that risk is to properly care for your tattoo so that it willstill look vibrant for a long time.

To learn more about the risks of tattos and tattoo inks then out The Secret Dangers Of Tattoo Inks by clicking here.

Recently I have been required me to get a real crash course in the body art world. As I have mentioned on many occasions I am not hostile to tattoos I simply rather individuals to acquire educated on the subject matter before submitting to such a lasting procedure. And then if they decide they no longer would like the body art I think they ought to be able to remove it for a minimum cost and no pain if at all possible.

I have so much information on body art inks that it would take several posts to include it all. First and foremost I will say that from a chemistry perspective body art inks are not inks at all, they are pigments inside a carrier solution. Huh? Simply put, it is kind of like adding together water to finger paints. However, in this situation the pigments are typically metal, plastic, or else vegetable based while the carrier portion is more than likely some alcohol solution.

There are two considerations, the first is the possible toxic nature of the ‘inks’ and the other is the fact that there is no regulation of ink structure. While your tattoo design artist is a dynamic artist, he/she is probably no a chemist. You should be concerned at this time since many body art artists mix their own inks. Is this occurring in a sterile atmosphere? Highly improbable.

It would seem that many additional people would come down with illnesses correlated to tattoos but it clearly does not seem to be that big of a deal. Well consider this, the human body is tough on many levels and does a pretty high-quality job of keeping us healthy. Still the subject here is the prolonged exposure to the polluted or toxic components of body art inks. So what happens in year 5, 10, or 20? As for the new wave of body art enthusiasts it may be too soon to ascertain. A few have found out the hard way that they are in fact allergic to materials in the inks. What do you do when you are allergic to something that is under the skin. Even the process of removal has the ability to make you even sicker as the inks are now passed through the lymph node structure and expelled…

There will be a much more in depth articles on body art inks forthcoming but I would persuade you to have a discussion to your tattoo artists about the inks they use and where they come from. Ask them about the location where they are stored and if there is a standard for sterilization.

Perhaps this is a further reason tattoo removal is on the rise like never before.

It is not known exactly when the practice of tattooing got started, but some evidence of tattoos have been found on Egyptian mummies back in 1300 B.C. Tattoos are made artistically on the skin by injecting a color into small holes in the skin. It does not matter who injects the color into the skin, but it is a fact that the mark of a tattoo is permanent. However due to several reasons, people take the help of physicians to remove tattoos.

Luckily, there are several successful ways to remove tattoos, which are being used by physicians. Nevertheless, in most cases some blemishes can remain visible on the skin. It depends on a number of factors such as size, location, and the time taken in the individual healing process. If the tattoo has been on the skin for a long time, then it may be difficult to remove.

The physician will choose a tattoo removal method after considering the size and length of the tattoo. He will also take into consideration the time that the tattoo has been on the skin.

Some of these widely used tattoo removal methods include:

Excision: This is one of the most popular tattoo removal methods, especially when the tattooed area is small. By using this method, tattoos can be removed completely from the skin. In order to remove large tattoos, the excision process is done in stages.

While performing this method, the tattooed area is first numbed, and then it is erased surgically. There may be minimal bleeding, but it can be controlled easily by using electrocautery.

Dermabrasion: Another tattoo removal procedure is known as the “Dermabrasion Procedure”. The tattooed area is sprayed with a solution to freeze it, and then the tattoo is rubbed down with a rotary abrasive tool, which results in the peeling of the skin. During this process, bleeding may occur, so it is a must that immediate dressings are applied to that area.

Laser: Nowadays, the laser technique is becoming popular among physicians, as it offers better results in a short time. Laser techniques such as Q-switched Nd: Yag, Q-switched Alexandrite and the Q-switched Ruby, are being used to remove tattoos.

A cream can be applied on the skin for numbing before the treatment begins, if required. After that, by using laser light technique, the pigment of the tattoo is broken and thereafter several weeks, scavenger cells of the body eliminate the treated pigment area. Generally, one may be required to have more than one laser treatment to erase the tattoo entirely.

Salabrasion: This is an ancient method to remove tattoos, but it is still used sometimes. Similar to other methods, anesthetic is used on the tattoo as well as on its surrounding area. After that, a solution of normal tap water and salt is applied on the skin. By using abrade equipment, the tattooed area is abraded strongly, and when the area becomes dark red, then a dressing is applied.

In conclusion, it does not matter which tattoo removal method you opt for, but one thing is definite – there will always remain some scarring or color variation.

Undestand more about what is in tattoo inks with our free special report – The Secret Dangers of Tattoo Inks or the industries best tattoo removal cream – Wrecking Balm

It is always best to discuss with the physician the various methods available and their procedures. It is important that you clear all your doubts regarding the process before you go for it.
